MTH Tinplate 2800 Series Bright Green NYC Gondola #2812 NEW & Beautiful

This is a beautiful MTH Tinplate Traditions O Gauge 2800 Series (the BIG ones) New York Central Gondola #2812. This Bright Green beauty is brand NEW. This was part of a larger set so there is no outer box. The pictures of this car are from my personal collection. You will receive a Brand New Car still in the original packaging (see last pic). The Gondola has the following features:
- Stamped steel body and chassis
- All Metal Construction
- Baked enamel finish
- Operating Box Couplers
- Metal wheels and axles
- Original foam inserts for protection during shipping
- Measures 11" long x 3-7/8" tall x 2-3/4" wide (length includes the couplers)
- Operates on "O" Gauge Track
Note: This past October at the TCA museum, both MTH and Lionel made similar announcements regarding Tinplate Trains. Lionel stated they had ended their relationship with MTH to make Tinplate Trains under the "Lionel" brand. Lionel also stated they do not own any Tinplate molds nor do they own any Tinplate parts. MTH announced that they would no longer make a Tinplate product line, but may on occasion make a very limited Tinplate product. What does all this mean? NEW TINPLATE TRAINS ARE GOING TO BECOME EXTREMELY SCARCE in the very near future.
